Harry W. Reed, Jr. graduated from Penn State University in 1967, with a B.S. in Economics. He received his Juris Doctorate degree from the Univ. of Wyoming College of Law in 1974, where he was the Managing Editor of Wyoming Law Review. He was admitted to the PA Bar in 1974; and is admitted to practice before all PA State Courts, the U.S. District Courts for the Middle and Eastern Districts of PA, the U.S. Third Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court. He served as Ass’t. District Attorney for Lebanon County, PA from 1978 to 1979. Mr. Reed is a member of the Lebanon County and PA Bar Assocs. and the PA Medical/Legal Interdisciplinary Committee of the PA Bar Assoc. He has appeared before the PA Workers’ Compensation Appeal Board, the PA Human Relations Commission, EEOC and PA Labor Relations Board. He is a member of the PA School Board Solicitors Assoc. and the National Board Assoc., Council of School Attorneys. The Pennsylvania Association of Elementary and Secondary School Principals and the Association of American University Professors have both selected Mr. Reed as their Regional Counsel. Mr. Reed has taught a wide variety of courses for other lawyers and for the PA Bar Institute and Widener University School of Law.

His books and published articles include: “The Principalship and Your Legal Rights and Responsibilities,” Volumes I and II, Printed in the U.S.A. by the PA. Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA) (2006); “Accountants Must Gear Up Now For The Family and Medical Leave Act,” The Practical Accountant (July 1993); “Personnel Law: Developing a Smoking Policy,” CPA Management Systems; Networks Magazine; “Personnel Law: Hiring, Evaluating and Terminating Employees,” Networks Magazine; and “Teachers’ Residency Restrictions,” University of Wyoming Law Review.

Mr. Reed concentrates his practice in workers’ compensation law, personal injury, commercial litigation, school law and employment law.

He served as a 1st Lieutenant in the U.S. Army-Infantry. He is married to the former Sage Schott and has three children – Eric, Arwen and Noelle.
